MSJMystery Shopper JobsIndependent assignments with MCE

How it works

From registration to a completed report.

Availability varies, but the expectations are consistent: prepare carefully, follow the scenario, meet the deadline and report accurately.

Scroll
01

Create your profile

Register through the shopper portal and provide accurate information. A complete profile helps MCE assess whether an assignment is suitable for you.

02

Review opportunities

Available assignments may appear in the portal or be shared with suitable shoppers. Read the location, deadline, fee, reimbursement and requirements before requesting one.

03

Wait for confirmation

Requesting an assignment does not mean it has been allocated. Do not complete a visit until the assignment is confirmed to you.

04

Prepare before visiting

Read the briefing notes and report questions in full. Check the dates, times, scenario and any purchase or evidence requirements.

05

Complete and report

Carry out the assignment as briefed and submit the report by the stated deadline. Use factual detail and retain any required evidence.

06

Editing and payment

An editor may ask for clarification. Eligible, accepted work is paid according to the assignment terms and MCE payment process.

Registration is the start, not a promise of work.

Assignment availability depends on current client programmes, location, timing, shopper profile and prior reliability. Some areas and profiles will see more opportunities than others.
